SIGN-UP FOR A BEGINNERS' CLASS
The following beginners' classes start on August 31st 2026:
Two free try-out classes for everyone before you have to commit and register for the full course! Please fill out the sign-up form to reserve your spot, even if you intend to try before you commit.
Karate for 5–7 years old (C. flokkur)
Two classes a week, Mondays and Wednesdays at 16:00-17:00. Elementary karate course for kids – fundamentals of kihon (basic technique), kata (forms) and kumite (partner exercises) along with games and stretching.
The course is one semester and concludes with a grading (except during the summer).
Annuale (which includes 3 semesters): 82.500 krónur.
Karate for 9–10 years olds (B. flokkur)
Two classes a week, Mondays and Wednesdays at 17:00–18:00. Karate lessons for kids, both beginners and advanced - taught the basics of kihon (basic technique), kata (forms) and kumite (exercises against an opponent) mixed with games and stretches.
The course is one semester and concludes with a grading (except during the summer).
Annuale (which includes 3 semesters): 82.500 krónur.
Karate for 11–14 years olds (A. flokkur)
Three classes a week, Wednesdays and Fridays at 18:00–19:00 and Sundays at 10:00–11:00.
Karate lessons for advanced kids – teaching complex kihon (technique exercises), more difficult kata (forms) and kumite (exercises against an opponent) mixed with games and stretches.
The course is one semester and concludes with a grading (except during the summer). .
Annuale (which includes 3 semesters): 82.500 krónur.
Karate for 15+ yr olds (Will not be taught in the autumn of 2026)
Fundamentals of karate are taught together with exercises to improve strength and flexibility.
The course is one semester and concludes with a grading (except during the summer).
Annuale (which includes 3 semesters): 112.500 krónur.
Meistarflokkur (Elite Group) (Ages 15+)
The Elite Group is intended for karate practitioners aged 15 and over who hold a brown belt or higher. Classes are held three times a week: Wednesdays and Fridays from 19:30–20:30, and Saturdays from 10:00–11:00. Participants may also attend open training sessions on Mondays from 18:00–20:30, strength and conditioning training on Saturdays from 09:00–10:00, and kumite training on Saturdays from 11:00–12:00.
Training includes kihon (fundamental techniques), kata (forms), and competitive kumite (sparring with an opponent), combined with strength and conditioning exercises, stretching, and games. At the end of each term, grading examinations are held for various belt levels.
Annual fee (covering three terms: autumn, spring, and summer): ISK 112,500
Adults (All Ages)
This group is intended for adult beginners and practitioners who hold a purple belt or lower. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 20:00–21:00 and Saturdays from 10:00–11:00. Participants may also attend strength and conditioning training on Saturdays from 09:00–10:00 and kumite training on Saturdays from 11:00–12:00.
Training includes kihon (fundamental techniques), kata (forms), and competitive kumite (sparring with an opponent), combined with strength and conditioning exercises, stretching, and games. At the end of each term, grading examinations are held for various belt levels.
Annual fee (covering three terms: autumn, spring, and summer): ISK 112,500
