Alþjóðlegar æfingabúðir WTKO Summer Camp 2022 verða haldnar á Íslandi í húsnæði Breiðabliks dagana 4.–7. ágúst. Alls munu átta virtir þjálfarar á vegum World Traditional Karate Organization kenna hérlendis, þeirra á meðal eru John Mullin sensei 9 dan, Richard Amos sensei 8 dan og Scott Middleton sensei 7 dan. Stjórn Þórshamars hvetur félagsmenn til að láta þetta einstaka tækifæri til að læra af þessum meisturum sér ekki úr greipum renna, enda ekki á hverjum degi sem umræddar æfingabúðir eru haldnar hérlendis. Þær eru opnar öllum í A. flokki og upp úr, þ.e. meistaraflokki og fullorðnum. Rétt er að geta þess að öll kennsla fer fram á ensku og því er bæði enskukunnátta og góð hegðun skilyrði fyrir þátttöku.
Athygli er vakin á því að öll kennsla hjá Þórshamri fellur niður dagana sem æfingabúðirnar eru haldnar til að gera sem flestum iðkendum og þjálfurum kleift að mæta, þannig að B. flokkur og C. flokkur verða í sumarfríi dagana 4.–7. ágúst. Æfingarnar hjá WTKO eru hugsaðar sem aukaæfingar fyrir iðkendur félagsins og því hefur það engin áhrif á mætingahlutfall iðkenda að það falli niður hefðbundar æfingar hjá Þórshamri þessa dagana.
Á meðfylgjandi mynd má finna dagskrá æfingabúðanna. Þátttakendur geta valið milli þess að taka þátt alla fjóra dagana (sem kostar 170 USD eða rúmlega 23 þúsund íslenskar krónur) eða hvaða tvo daga sem er (sem kostar 100 USD eða tæpar 14 þúsund ISK). Einnig verður hægt að fylgjast með völdum tímum búðanna í gegnum Zoom (sem kostar 75 USD eða rúmar 10 ISK). Athugið að verðskráin er óháð aldri.
Þórshamar styður vel við iðkendur félagsins sem taka þátt í sumarbúðum WTKO. Iðkendur félagsins sem taka þátt í 2 daga eða á Zoom fá styrk að upphæð 5.000 ISK og iðkendur sem taka þátt alla 4 dagana fá styrk að upphæð 10.000 ISK gegn framvísun reiknings/kvittunar sem senda skal á netfangið: thorshamar@thorshamar.is

Til að skrá sig fyrirfram þarf að senda upplýsingar um fullt nafn, hvaða belti viðkomandi er með, hvar æft er (þ.e. hjá Þórshamri, en félagið er eitt aðildarfélaga WTKO) og hvaða námskeiðspakka viðkomandi vill kaupa auk þess sem senda þarf upplýsingar um það á hvaða netfangi námskeiðsgjaldið verður greitt í gegnum Paypal. Tölvupósturinn þarf að vera á ensku. Einnig verður hægt að skrá sig og greiða námskeiðsgjöldin á staðnum þegar þar að kemur.

WTKO summer camp in Iceland 4.-7. August
The international WTKO Summer Camp 2022 will be held in Iceland at Breiðablik's premises from the 4th to the 7th. August. A total of eight respected trainers sponsored by the World Traditional Karate Organization will teach in Iceland, among them John Mullin sensei 9 dan, Richard Amos sensei 8 dan and Scott Middleton sensei 7 dan.
The board of Þórshamar encourages the club's members not to let this unique opportunity to learn from these masters slip away, since it is not every day that the mentioned training camps are held in Iceland. The camp is open to everyone in A. flokkur and above, i.e. master class and adults. It is worth noting that all teaching takes place in English, so both English skills and good behavior are conditions for participation.
Attention is drawn to the fact that all classes at Þórshamar are canceled on the days that the summer camp is held in order to enable as many practitioners and coaches as possible to attend, so that B. flokkur and C. flokkur will be on summer vacation from the 4th to the 7th. August The exercises at WTKO are thought of as extra exercises for the clubs's practitioners, and therefore it has no effect on the attendance rate of practitioners that the traditional practices at Þórshamar are canceled these days.
In the attached picture you can find the program of the summer camp. Participants can choose between taking part in all four days (which costs 170 USD or just over 23 thousand Icelandic krónur) or any two days (which costs 100 USD or almost 14 thousand ISK). It will also be possible to follow selected times of the camp via Zoom (which costs 75 USD or about 10 ISK). Note that the price list applies evenly for all ages.
Þórshamar supports the clubs's practitioners who participate in WTKO's summer camps. Practitioners of the company who participate for 2 days or on Zoom receive a grant of 5,000 ISK and practitioners who participate for all 4 days receive a grant of 10,000 ISK upon presentation of an invoice/receipt which must be sent to the email address: thorshamar@thorshamar.is

To register in advance, you need to send information about your full name, what belt the person is wearing, where you practice (ie at Þórshamr, but the club is one of the WTKO's member companies) and which course package the person wants to buy, as well as information about the email address to which the course fee will be paid via Paypal. The email must be in English. It will also be possible to register and pay the course fees on site when the time comes.
